[Primal’s Darkside Superheroine] Side Kick Seduced by the Serpent Temptress

Scene opens in the Private Chapel in the cities largest Church Lady Purity has just rescued her side kick from a thug that was about to squeeze the life out of her. Her power of repentance made the good put the side kick down and go turn himself in. MJ: “Why would the The Serpent come here? LP: “My guess is she plans on poisoning the Communion Wine to get control of the Mayor and City Counsel.” MJ, punching her hand defiantly: “Well she didn’t count on us did she.” AW: “Listen MJ, I think it will be safer if I go in there by myself.” MJ: “What!? But why!?” LP: “You are still in training and you’ve never come up against a villain this powerful before.” MJ: “But how am I meant to prove myself if you never let me fight!?” LP: “You’ll have plenty of chances to prove yourself MJ, but the Serpent is not just another street thug. She is smart, devious and very dangerous. MJ: “She doesn’t look very tough to me.” LP: “And that’s what makes her so dangerous, she get’s inside you head somehow and finds your weakness.” MJ: “Ha, she can’t get into my head, I won’t let her.” AW: “And my weakness right now is worrying about your safety, I’m sorry but you would just be in the way.” MJ: “Stop treating me like a !” LP: “(Putting a hand reassuringly on MJ and smiling) You are going to be a great heroine one day MJ, but right now you are just too hot headed. It’s for your own good.” MJ: “But it’s not fair!” LP: “When I took you on as a student I vowed to not only teach you but to protect you too. And I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened, I’ve come to think of you as my own daughter.” MJ: “But…” LW, shaking her head defiantly: “No MJ. My decision is final.” MJ, resigned: “Ok…Well what do you want me to do?” LP: “Stand guard, and call me if you see anything. You must not engage the Serpent alone do you understand?” MJ, disappointingly: “Yeah….” LP: “I’m serious, don’t talk to her, don’t even look at her.” MJ: “Yes, ok, I got it.” Astro Woman goes in to search for The Serpent leaving Miss Judgement to keep watch. As Miss Judgement stands guard, a nun enters to get ready for the next days services where the Mayor and City Counsel will be taking communion. The Savvy Side Kick sees through the Serpents disguise and gets her with her magic lasso MJ: “I did it! I captured the Serpent.” S: “Well this is embarrassing.” MJ: “Shut it!” S: “Bested by a lowly sidekick, when did Lady Purity let you off your leash?” MJ, turning the Serpent around so they are facing each other: “I am not a sidekick! I’m a hero in training! Where is Lady Purity anyway, I better call her.” S: “Why do you need her help, you seem perfectly capable to me.” MJ: “Well I don’t need her help really but she told me I shouldn’t confront you alone.” S: “Of course she did, she couldn’t let someone else get any credit now could she.” MJ: “That’s not true, and I shouldn’t be talking to you anyway, Lady Purity warned me.” MJ goes to the door and shouts for Lady Purity. S: “Warned you!? Warned you about what? I’m all tied up and at your mercy. Just take me in yourself and show the city what a great side kick you really are.” MJ: “Stop calling me that! I am not a sidekick, I’m a hero in training.” S: “Well why don’t you start acting like a hero! Don’t you wish the other heroes would stop laughing at you behind your back.” MJ: “They laugh at me?” S: “I’ve said too much.” MJ, scolding herself: “No, you are lying, Astro Woman warned me about talking to you. She is going to be so angry at me for confronting you alone.” S: “Angry!? Jealous more like. Astro Woman has been trying and failing to discover the source of my power for a very long time.” MJ: “What are you talking about?” S: “See these trees?
